sorry these are crooked...

the first pic is from a magazine. i really liked the tulle and the way I'm sure it moves.

the second pic is of my design that i duplicated over and over onto the piece of copper.

ideas

www.twigsandhoney.com makes really pretty, natural veils for weddings.

I wanted my head piece to sort of look like a veil because my boyfriend and I were planning on getting married. So ever since we started talking about it, of course since I'm a girl, I can't stop thinking about it. Here are some of the ideas/ thoughts that I have for the project:
-marriage
-"forever"
-everything happens for a reason
-over the top
-hiding emotions (the veil)
-keeping your feelings inside
-reserved but very outrageous
-wanting to tie the knot
-diamonds are forever
-everlasting

some objects/ materials to use:
-copper
-tulle fabric
-chicken coop wire
-wire
-thick ribbon or fabric
COLORS:
creams and beiges and greys

This is a friend of a friend that lives in Orlando, FLA. Her name is Cary and she models. LUCKY DUCK. She's really made a name for herself. But her head piece is the kind of dramatic piece that I want.

The tulle on Rihanna's head, I LIKE!

First entry

Sooo this is pretty cool. But our first project, so to speak, is making my brain scream.
Well, not too much. But I'm just trying to make something and decide what form of jewelry it will be when it's all done. Either a necklace pendant or a hair clip thing that will be on a bobby pin. We'll see how it goes. I'm just experimenting with the map and glue and I actually have created a lot of texture with just the paper. It is better than I though it would be.
I was thinking about making the state of new york and the state of pennsylvania and then connecting them so that they look like a puzzle piece seeing as they are right next to each other. My boyfriend is from PA and I am from New York so I thought it would be cute. But as I started to make the design of the paper, I like it without making them into states. I guess we will see tomorrow what comes from these three items ....
